    Coal Gasification (Capstone Project)
    - Designed a coal gasification plant to improve the efficiency of coal power generation and mitigate CO2 emissions
    - Developed simulations, PFDs, PIDs, plant layouts, and startup & shutdown procedures for a designed gasification plant using Aspen Plus, Aspen Hysys, and Microsoft Visio
    - Performed HAZOP, equipment sizing, economic and environmental assessments on the designed plant to evaluate the profitability and safety of the Capstone project.
    - Developed process control designs to maximize the efficiency of each unit and ensure the safety of the operations in the designed gasification plant

    Advanced Oxidization for Water Purification
    - Developed an analytical solution to reduce water contamination caused by micro-pollutant, 2,4-D, found in herbicides which can be used in large scale treatment
    - Designed a reproducible experiment and performed data analysis to determine the effect of pH and chlorine dosage on the efficiency of the UV/ chlorine process for degradation of dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D)
